Consultation started in September 2008, there have been many workshops and meetings, so what is going to happen next?
 
 
SO WHAT IS HAPPENING NEXT?:
 

The consultation meetings and workshops have provided information and allowed people to be involved in shaping the proposed new service model. The results are illustrated below and on the reverse of this bulletin so that people can see how things are developing. A consultation report will now be produced for decision and when completed copies will be available at the in-house day services.

 

 

THE ILLUSTRATION OF THE PROPOSED NEW SERVICE MODEL INCLUDES ALL LISTED OPPOSITE:

 

  • Tenterden Gateway with an adult changing place facility - completed

          Fitness First – music dance studio

  • Ashford Gateway Plus with dedicated activity areas, adult changing place facility, café offering work opportunities for people with a learning disability, library, adult education and housing etc. - due to complete by summer 2011

  • Tenterden Satellite at St John’s Hall

  • Wood N Ware, providing Therapeutic Work Experience

  • Victoria Park Bowls – part of the widening range of accessible community activities

  • Tenterden Leisure Centre, leisure pool and sports hall

  • Stour Leisure Centre, with plans for a KASS dedicated activity area and adult changing place facilities

  • St Simon Stock Church, meeting place for Ashford District Partnership Group

  • Homelands, golf, football, social club, including Saturn Nightclub

  • The South School Community Hub run by Ashford L D Community Interest Company, planning to provide a range of inclusive activities for the local community

  • The North School – Youth Wing for media, drama and music
